Get stuck into our TV Tips on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival

It’s Gold Cup day at the Cheltenham Festival, and the final opportunity for punters to take a few quid off the bookmakers at this year’s extravaganza.

Our four top racing judges are here to talk you through the races on Channel 4 this afternoon, in an attempt to seek out a couple of winners that can get the weekend off to a bang on the box. Top jocks Ruby Walsh and Noel Fehily have already tasted Cheltenham success this week, while racing pundit Matt Chapman and our very own horse racing trader are on hand to spot the latest value.

Here’s what our crack team of tipsters fancy on Friday

There are little bits of agreement throughout the five TV races without anything being absolutely conclusive. Sceau Royal is getting two nods in the opening race and Long Dog is also attracting half of our pundits in the Albert Bartlett at 2.50pm. Both Djakadam (last year’s second) and Cue Card (the King George winner) have got a couple of tips each for the feature race, the Gold Cup, so maybe the forecast is the small play there if you really fancy ending the week on a high.

In the final race there is a little more harmony however, and a considerable nod towards On The Fringe, the favourite for the Foxhunters Chase. The duo of Nina Carberry and trainer Enda Bolger combine and could give us the perfect end to Channel 4’s coverage of the Festival.
