The Trull House Stud Mares Novices’ Hurdle, 2m 1f
Thursday, 4.50pm
A new race – so no stats to go on – named after one of the great mares of National Hunt racing, Dawn Run, trained by the late Paddy Mullins.
It’s fitting then that his son Willie has the ante-post favourite in Limini who has won her last five races on the bounce, including both her starts (the last being a 2m 2f Grade 3 Hurdle at Fairyhouse in heavy ground) since joining the Co Carlow trainer from France.
She could face some stiff opposition from her own stablemates Myska and Apples Jade while Brian Ellison sends Haydock and Doncaster scorer Smart Talk south for a crack at the big one.
