Four-time festival winner will be looking to recreate his form from Cheltenham 2013

Cheltenham Festival winners: 4

Gigginstown’s retained rider Burst onto the scene with three winners at the 2013 Festival aboard Benefficient, Our Conor and Ted Veale. Unfortunately, broke his leg during a fall in the Fred Winter on the second day of the 2014 Festival and, to add insult to injury, he then watched Gigginstown enjoy four winners on the final day.

Last season’s Festival could have gone better striking on just Don Poli in the RSA from a powerful book of rides but his retainer looks to have an even stronger squad for this season, notably in the Gold Cup, where Cooper has the dilemma of choosing between Don Cossack, Don Poli and Road To Riches. His best chance of the week could be No More Heroes in the RSA Chase but will be on leading hopes in the novice hurdles as well given Gigginstown’s strength in depth in this sector.
