1.10pm Ffos Las – Lilly Pedlar
A 2m 4F mares novice hurdle with only a small field of four and the Nicky Henderson trained, Nico De Boinville ridden Lilly Pedlar will be fancied to go well. This mare, who was placed on three of her last four starts, was very disappointing the last day when pulled up at Sandown, with the reason of not enjoying the ground conditions suggesting good to soft would be her preference. With those conditions predicted, I expect a much-improved effort. It’s one of three rides for the jockey who is going well with a 17% strike rate over the last two weeks and I expect this mare to finally get her head in front and win.

1.45pm FFos Las – Apache Creek
A 2m 4f handicap hurdle where Apache Creek for the father-son combination is the one they all need to beat. This gelding is on a steep upward curve in the autumn and picked up where he left off when completing the hat trick of wins at Ludlow in March and winning quite comfortably on all three occasions. An 8lb rise was handed for those victories but it hasn’t stopped improving yet and is the stable’s only entry. Of his rivals, Looks like Power, is lower in the weights so could be interesting but I think Apache Creek will keep his good form going.
5.50pm Windsor – Cashew
Prism is an interesting newcomer here and one to keep an eye on in the market, but I fancy Cashew to go well. She was well beaten when favourite on her Newcastle debut in April but should improve with her third place at Salisbury 15 days ago. Ryan Moore is an interesting jockey booking, who is on board for the first time and is flying with a 27% strike rate over the last two weeks so I expect her to be prominent.
