17:20 Firenze Rosa

Plenty have possibilities but the vote goes to FIRENZE ROSA, who went very close from out of the weights at Windsor on her return last week and has strong claims if she can repeat that form off 8lb lower here. The last-time-out winners Creek Harbour, Gherkin and Flip Mode are all respected, but the main threat could come from Twice As Likely, who was a good second behind a very well-treated rival in her hat-trick bid last month. Others who could be dangerous are Gilt Edge and Pastfact.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

17:50 Jupiter Road

Given her record around here Confils has to be considered, though with showers forecast any easing of the ground could be a problem. By contrast rain would be to the advantage of Selecto who looked in need of a return to this trip last time, but the one who catches the eye is JUPITER ROAD. He has winning form on fast and soft ground and is back off the same mark as when last successful. Plansina is another worth keeping an eye on.

18:20 Poderoso

Preference is for the very well-bred PODEROSO, who made a promising start with his close third at Newbury last month and sets a fairly useful standard on that form. Salisbury runner-up Raging is feared most, though Fair And Square showed plenty of speed when a clear second at Windsor and he’s respected. Instinctive Move is an interesting newcomer for a yard with a record of 3-7 with 2yos this season, while two other debutants to keep an eye on are Dayem and Buying Time.

18:50 Gustav Holst

Garden Paradise is threatening to win a race but she may have to settle for another silver medal, this time behind GUSTAV HOLST who has leading claims on his bare form. Mr Curiosity is another likely player. Crossing The Bar retains potential but he should be more interesting in handicaps after this.

19:20 Nordic Dash

A few of these have offered some promise lately with Night Eagleand Belvedere Blast possibly the pick of that group. However, NORDIC DASH has a classy middle-distance pedigree and is taken to make a successful handicap debut over a trip she should relish.

19:50 Bobby Kennedy

There’s likely to be little again between last month’s Salisbury winner Tajdid and the runner-up that day BOBBY KENNEDY, and the latter is narrowly preferred with Laura Pearson’s 5lb claim tipping the balance. Mount Olympus, who should do better now tackling handicaps, and Tanglewood Tales, who might have needed the run at Yarmouth, are others to consider.

20:20 Devil’s Cub (NAP)

Solid recent form is thin on the ground here and it’s hard to make a strong case for many. Adace, a good second at Windsor 16 days ago, will go close again if repeating that, but the verdict goes to DEVIL’S CUB (nap), who had an excuse last time and could bounce back under Hollie Doyle. Desert Rose is bred to be better than she showed last year and could be dangerous after a break.
