13:55 Ascot – Lights On
LIGHTS ON has had a pretty productive time of it last season and made no mistake on her return at Nottingham last time. She opened up for a wide-margin victory and looks well positioned in this Fillies’ Handicap to continue her climb up the ladder. Richard Kingscote can rubber-stamp his new association with the Sir Michael Stoute team with a win.

14:15 Lingfield – Loving Dream
All of these are still hoping to throw their hat into the ring as far as the Oaks at Epsom is concerned, and LOVING DREAM already was second to the regally-bred Noon Star at Wetherby last month.
She’s from the top outfit in the John and Thady Gosden yard and looks as if she just has to prove better than Technique – who was close up in the Blue Riband Trial at Epsom, although that form has been let down since at Chester.
14:30 Ascot – Albaflora
Although ALBAFLORA doesn’t sit at the top of the official ratings, she still has a serious upside to her. She went down fighting when beaten only by a head by Berkshire Rocco at the track last October and that form is of a very high standard. She gets this trip well and will undoubtedly stay further in time.
14:50 Lingfield – Adayar
ADAYAR stepped up from his racecourse debut for a wide-margin success on rain-softened ground at Nottingham. His return to action in the Classic Trial at Sandown was very strong considering he was ridden from off the pace and was still a bit babyish.
It’s interesting that connections have decided to pitch up here, as he is quite a heavy-topped individual and if he proves his ability to handle this tricky downhill run at Lingfield, it will stand him in good stead for a crack at the Epsom Derby.
15:25 Lingfield – Bounce The Blues
BOUNCE THE BLUES was a smart performer when trained in Ireland and has continued that progression for the Andrew Balding team. Her return to action at Doncaster was a very strong piece of form as the winner Top Rank will be running in the premier mile races throughout the season.
She’s not one dimensional from a tactics point of view, but being drawn fairly close to the stand rail is no disadvantage whatsoever. Orders for the jockey may be just a simple point and shoot.
15:40 Ascot – Fox Champion
FOX CHAMPION already has some strong form in the book and arguably looked unlucky at Haydock when denied a clear run in the closing stages on only his first try for Ralph Beckett after leaving Richard Hannon. Now that the new yard have more of a feel for him, he should take another step forward and looks leniently weighted off a mark of 95.
He is battle hardened, which will stand him in good stead in a race like this. There are also a few pace angles drawn around him on the far side of the track in the low numbers.
16:00 Lingfield – Turn On The Charm
TURN ON THE CHARM’s form from Nottingham is red-hot with the third, Nugget, coming out and winning the Spring Cup Newbury. Also the winner that day, Astro King, finished close up when a touch unlucky in the Thirsk Hunt Cup.
This is likely to prove a tactical with just four runners and Eton College will probably take them along on the front-end. But, the class of Turn On The Charm should tell over the downhill seven-and-a-half furlongs, as he’s blessed with a fair change of gear.
