13:55 Do Not Disturb (NAP)
Most of the field performed at least respectably on their most recent start. Gipsy Lee Rose is an exception but could return to form back at Kelso. However, the suggestion is DO NOT DISTURB (nap), who hasn’t had many attempts beyond 2m4f and ran well at Perth last time in a race that is likely to prove solid form.
14:25 Lesser
It’s hard to make a case for many of these, and the penalised runners are likely to come to the fore. Top of the list is the unbeaten LESSER, who looks a useful prospect and won’t be inconvenienced by any further softening of the ground. Rattle Owl and Gordon’s Jet may provide the sternest opposition, in that order, while Upandatit should be suited by the longer distance and could make the frame.
14:55 Chanting Hill
This is weaker than the Carlisle race in which Oscar Ceremony went off joint-favourite last time and he may well bounce back on a course that suits him, but narrow preference is for the upwardly mobile CHANTING HILL, who won in clearcut style last time and promises to stay this longer trip. Shanroe Street may fare best of the remainder.
15:25 Valence D’Aumont
An open affair with no standout candidate. Cedar Hill has a fine record over C&D and should go well if none the worse for a recent heavy fall, but preference is for another 7yo, VALENCE D’AUMONT, who returned from a break with a win and may well follow up. The admirable Miss Amelia, the Lucinda Russell-trained pair Mint Gold and Ain’t My Fault and Brian Hughes’s mount Lake Takapuna head the list of dangers.

This should go to DOLPHIN SQUARE, who has been taking on stronger opposition and shaped encouragingly on his chasing debut in January. Recent Chepstow winner Right Of Reply may follow him home.
16:35 Buck’s Boggle
An open race in which quite a few can be given a chance. Nicky Richards’ Summergrounds appeals most of the newcomers but the vote goes to the southern raider BUCK’S BOGGLE, who shaped encouragingly at Chepstow in March. Dixieland Swing and Firth Of Forth should be thereabouts again, but the main danger could turn out to be Mister Freddie, who can step up markedly on the form he showed first time out at Wetherby.
