13:50 Newmarket – Grand Bazaar

ITV’s coverage on Sunday starts with this handicap over 1m 4f and it’s a wide open event despite the field. GRAND BAZAAR has Newmarket course form and might still have more to offer at the age of four for the Gosdens and Frankie Dettori. He didn’t get home when last seen at York over 1m 6f, but this course and distance should be fine.

New to Paddy Power?

14:05 Salisbury – Prince Alex

ITV are also at Salisbury for this handicap over 1m 6f and there will be a strong pace here. That should suit the massively improved PRINCE ALEX, who is trying to make it six wins from nine starts for Ralph Beckett.

My selection started off at the low end of the handicap ranks, but proved at York when last seen he still has much to offer. The trip holds no fears and Hector Crouch should get a good spin.

14:25 Newmarket – A’Shaari

This is the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes over 1m 2f, where A’SHAARI looked very promising when scoring at Newmarket last season for Charlie Appleby and William Buick. The filly beat the talented Ready to Venture that day and the latter was not disgraced in a decent heat at Ascot on Wednesday. This could be very good indeed.

14:40 Hamilton – Ben Lily

We’ve got two from Hamilton on ITV as well, including this 1m 5f handicap and it’s tough. BEN LILY only won a little race at Doncaster last time, but he still might go well for David Brown and Kevin Stott. The four-year-old stays this trip very well and with a few Johnston runners in the field, there should be a good gallop to aim at.

15:00 Newmarket – Queen Power

Now the Group 2 Dhalia Stakes for fillies and mares over 1m 1f. QUEEN POWER has every chance of taking this on seasonal debut for Sir Michael Stoute and Sylvestre de Sousa. The Shamardal mare has not won for a while, but she’s been tackling decent company and this trip should be ideal. Her third in the Duke of Cambridge at Royal Ascot was a fine effort.

15:15 Hamilton – Muker

Now a conditions stakes over 5 furlongs, and MUKER should take some stopping for Paul Mulrennan and Phillip Makin. The speedster was a flop when last seen at Nottingham, but he probably needed that and his efforts at Dundalk and York last season were fine. The third in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot was also pretty good. If he has trained and the debut was just needed ,he should go well.

15:40 Newmarket – Saffron Beach

Here’s the main event of the day, the Group 1 Classic that is the 1000 Guineas over 1m. I’ll back two here. I’ll have a few quid on Santa Barbara to win merely on hype for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore. The form of her maiden win is hardly exciting, but the style was impressive and the hype even more so.

I’ll also have a few quid archway on SAFFRON BEACH for Jane Chapple-Hyam and Adam Kirby. Saffron Beach will enjoy this trip and ran a good race in the Nell Gwyn on comeback.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
