14:10 Who Told Jo Jo

Michael Attwater holds a strong hand through Delagate The Lady and Cappananty Con, who’s well treated back on turf, being 17lb lower than for his latest Polytrack fourth, and who’s 4-10 for Rhys Clutterbuck. The latter is hard to knock out of calculations but a chance is taken on WHO TOLD JO JO, who has such a good record at this time of the year and who’s capable of leaving behind an ordinary AW comeback. Ghepardo is also worth considering among the likely bigger prices.

New to Paddy Power?

14:40 Wonderful World

None of the newcomers represent yards with eye-catching 2yo strike-rates, with the exception of Navello, whose trainer’s first three juvenile runners this spring have all started favourite, and perhaps Due A Rum, whose yard was responsible for the Brocklesby winner at Doncaster ten days ago. It was in that race that WONDERFUL WORLD made a pleasing debut and he’s taken to confirm placings with Muskateer Three and get off the mark.

15:10 Diligent Lady

This looks very open but some of the front-runners are not going to get the race run to suit and perhaps DILIGENT LADY will be the one to pick up the late pieces. Saaheq should be very competitive off this mark on anything like his best turf form but Iconic Knight, on his debut for Tony Carroll and first after wind surgery, could be the main danger with ground conditions to suit. Able Kane can fare best of the remainder.

15:40 Fernando Rah

An interesting maiden. Alphonse Karr sets the standard and should again be thereabouts but he may be vulnerable to FERNANDO RAH, who is taken to improve on the promise he showed on his debut. Khatwah is another potential contender, while Ruby Cottage looks the most interesting newcomer.

16:10 Wantage

The level of form shown by Golden Flame sets the standard but he may be vulnerable again. Both Going Gone and WANTAGE should be capable of improvement now upped to this trip and the latter is preferred to step up on his promising debut.

16:40 Villanelle

It’s How We Roll had two of these behind at Kempton last midweek and is fine on turf but his strike-rate of 1-31 under both codes is off-putting. Act Of Magic is another with obvious claims but this stiff course will test his stamina going beyond 1m2f for the first time, and the vote goes to VILLANELLE, who’s been threatening at this level lately and had Masque Of Anarchy and Clog Na Fola behind when bumping into one early last month.

17:10 Limelighter

Like Sugar remains open to improvement and is respected towards the head of the market but this can go to LIMELIGHTER, a free-going type who went close on his 2yo debut and won first time up last season. Unlucky when pulled up in a decent handicap hurdle when last seen, this mark should be within range back on the Flat. Keeper’s Choice, who’s well suited by a stiff 1m and goes well fresh, is another to consider.

17:45 Largo Bay (NAP)

The improving Headshot is probably the one they’ll have to aim at here. He may prove good enough, but the suggestion is LARGO BAY (nap), who is also unexposed and could be capable of kicking on at three from what is a workable mark. Shimla Rolann and Ambarella are not ruled out.
