13:50 Musselburgh – Molls Memory

I’m going for MOLLS MEMORY here, purely because Hollie Doyle rides and she has been drawn in stall 1 on the inside for trainer Ed Walker.

New to Paddy Power?

14:05 Haydock – Vision Du Puy

Everything that Harry Skelton rides now will be a shorter price than they should be and that’s because the Skeltons are absolutely flying. Harry Skelton has had 19 winners in the last 14 days. But, does it not pay just to roll with them, rather than against them?

I’m going stay loyal and pick VISION DU PUY for Dan and Harry Skelton in the colours of JP McManus, off a mark of 127. He bolted in at Stratford on the Monday before Cheltenham when he beat Glory And Fortune and he’ll do me in this contest.

14:25 Musselburgh – Forest Falcon

I’m going for one the likely favourites and that’s Mark Johnston’s FOREST FALCON, who won in Yarmouth last September on his third start. Prior to that he had been a bit disappointing at Sandown after a decent enough run at Haydock behind William Bligh. Franny Norton takes the ride and the colt has a good draw in stall 2.

14:40 Haydock – Checkitout

I’m picking the top weight CHECKITOUT for Nigel and Sam Twiston-Davies in this contest. I know he’s only a 125-rated hurdler, but he’s been on a bit of a roll and is up to 135 over fences. I thought he did really well in Ludlow when he beat King Of Realms, and before that he won at Southwell as well. The Twiston-Davies horses can be hard to beat when they get bombing.

15:00 Musselburgh – Jabbarockie

Other than Caspian Prince, who is a 12-year-old, these horses did not mean much to me, but if Matt Chapman is going with JABBAROCKIE as his NAP then that is good enough for me.

15:15 Haydock – Ashtown Lad

I’m rolling back to the in-form duo of Dan and Harry Skelton here with ASHTOWN LAD. He had been touted earlier in the season as a potential Albert Bartlett horse, having claimed victory at Wetherby and Uttoxeter. He was then no match for Make Good at Cheltenham in December before a dismal run behind The Cob at Doncaster at the end of January. He’s had his wind op though, and it’s his first time back after that.

15:35 Musselburgh – Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS is my pick here, who was the mount of Frankie Dettori in last year’s Cesarewitch when he was no match for Great White Shark. He was beaten a long way on that occasion, but prior to that had a good run at Haydock behind Star Gazer.

It’s a wide-open race, but I would be in favour of people who train National Hunt horses when you get to extreme distances on the Flat. Ian Williams has certainly shown in the past that he can do that and that’s why I’m tipping Indianapolis.
