13:25 – Sideshow Bob

The opening action is over 7f where Sideshow Bob has been very unlucky when second twice have started favourite both times. This five-year-old mare has had 11 career starts but has yet to win.

She sees out the trip very well so sitting in a midfield position should see her rattle home and hopefully get her head in front. Of her rivals, Autumn Mist has managed to win over slightly further in the past and has course form too but Sideshow Bob can break her maiden tag now.

14:35 – Lustown Baba

This a real tricky race but Willie McCreery runner Lustown Baba could be the answer in a race packed with winners. Lustown Baba won back to back races at the Curragh last October has makes his seasonal debut at a track he’s won at before. McCreery has sent out two winners from his last eight runners, so the stable is in form.

Of the rest, Make A Challenge always runs a solid race for Denis Hogan who will hope to be bang there at the finish. Downforce managed to win at the Curragh a little under two weeks ago will hope to follow up.

15:10 – Cadamosto

Aidan O Brien’s Cadamosto will have a big say in this two-year-old maiden and Ballydoyle are flying  with a 64 per cent strike rate and winners with the last four horses he has sent to post.

This No Nay Never colt holds an entry in the big sales race at Doncaster in September so is held in high regard so will be expected to win. Of his rivals, Johnny Murtagh’s Ardluasa could go well along with Ger Lyons’ Jarvis. I expect Cadamosto is the one they all need to beat.

16:20 – Princess Zoe

Tony Mullins’ Princess Zoe rattled off five wins on the bounce at the Curragh, Galway and Lonchamp last season before defeat in the Prix Royal Oaks at the same French track and is the one to beat.

Lismore was previously trained by Sir Mark Prescott in the UK and is now with Henry De Bromhead and was a narrowly beaten favourite when last seen at Mulheim in Germany. This filly is having her first run on Irish soil and with De Bromhead’s National Hunt string in great form at Cheltenham, she could run a massive race.
