Arthur’s Angel, whose Lingfield third in January could barely have worked out better, is an obvious danger in an interesting handicap.

An easy 7 furlongs was always likely to prove an inadequate test for ALIOMAANA on her Polytrack debut last backend, especially after she missed the break from the outside stall – but she should have learned from that.
She’s narrowly preferred to Save A Forest, who’s landed another wide stall after two promising efforts in races not run to suit, and Aura Blue, who shaped nicely from off a steady pace on her recent debut.
17:30 Tajdid
Headshot and Pips Tune have shown fair form in similar contests recently, but they look vulnerable to a less exposed rival such as TAJDID (NAP). He left his previous form behind last time and has more to offer in this first handicap. Pop Ya Collar’s handicap career didn’t start very well, but he is capable of a big leap forward and is also considered.
18:00 Winnetka
Although hardly one for maximum faith after drawing a blank in 15 previous attempts, this year’s efforts from WINNETKA have been respectable and he’s well treated on his best form, especially with Hollie Doyle taking over from an apprentice. Swissal rates the main danger, with Azets and recent Lingfield runner-up Far From A Ruby others to consider.
18:30 Mokaatil
Entitled to have come on for his recent comeback, MOKAATIL can confirm Chelmsford superiority over Jack The Truth, with experienced Thore Hammer Hansen going some way to offsetting a 5lbs rise in the weights. Bookies’ best friend Rock Sound is making his Tapeta debut off a career-high mark and, like Scale Force, seems happiest on Fibresand.
19:00 Spurofthemoment
It’s difficult to rule any of these out, but the vote goes to SPUROFTHEMOMENT. She was narrowly beaten on her only outing here and who has held her form well since wind surgery. Laura Pearson gets on well with You’re Cool and the combination look the biggest threat.
19:30 Jaariyah
It may be worth giving JAARIYAH another chance over this shorter trip after she faded into fifth when well backed here seven days ago. She showed plenty of speed on that occasion and 6 furlongs could suit.
Heading the list of dangers is Declaring Love (1-1 over C&D), while her stablemate Inaam is also interesting at the other end of the weights. Shoot To Kill and Jumira Bridge are recent winners who should be thereabouts again.
20:00 Kingsley Klarion
It’s easy enough to pick holes in all the leading fancies and this looks a minefield. Ancient Astronaut looked to bounce last time and should do better this time, but a chance is taken on KINGSLEY KLARION. He is capable of going well if getting some luck from the outside stall.
20:30 Corndavon Lad
Miracle Garden is enjoying a revival this winter and is respected after his recent course and distance win, but he has a wide draw to overcome and it might be worth giving another chance to CORNDAVON LAD – who’s had excuses for his two latest defeats. Blue Cable hasn’t enjoyed the best of luck recently and is next best, ahead of Manumission.
