AN EPIC SONG won nicely on debut for Martin Brassil after coming over from France. He was at Gowran Park at the beginning of the month when he beat Easca Peasca by 3 lengths, who had finished eighth in a strong maiden hurdle on hurdles debut – while there was 27 lengths back to the third. He will get at least 10lbs off the older horses and if his jumping improves, he could be tough to beat.

15:10 Limerick – Yukon Lil
YUKON LIL has been a little disappointing over fences after a promising win at Cork on chase debut, but she was good enough to finish fourth in last year’s Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham. The 2m in this grade should see her being tough to beat in this contest.
15:25 Naas – King Of Comedy
KING OF COMEDY has only had two starts last season, when second in a Newbury Group 3 over 1m and when very poor in a Group 2 at York. He was very useful as a three-year-old, only just failing to win the St James’ Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, but has left the Gosdens’ yard for Jessie Harrington and is rated 112. A change of scenery could rejuvenate him, and he could get back to the form he showed early in his career.
16:00 Naas – Eylara
EYLARA was bred to be top class at middle distances, and was second on debut at Gowran Park over 1m in September. Meanwhile, the winner of that race Talacre has had useful form behind some really nice types.
She won at Leopardstown over 7 furlongs despite that trip probably being short enough for her, and the third won on next their start to frank the form. She is sure to improve for stepping up to 10 furlongs here and has an Irish Oaks entry.
16:20 Limerick – Full Time Score
FULL TIME SCORE is a very lightly-raced seven-year-old and he was third to Minella Melody on bumper debut back in 2019, but was then off for two years. He made his hurdles debut at Fairyhouse over 2m 3f in February and was well backed when winning.
He then went straight over fences only a couple of weeks ago and won a three-runner beginners’ chase at Gowran Park over 2m 4f. He didn’t have too hard a race there and might be able to take the step up in trip and grade in his stride.
16:55 Limerick – Velocity Boy
VELOCITY BOY is now 12 and he might not be up to this level anymore, but he did win in January 2020 off 123 and has only had two starts under Rules in the interim. He has had three starts at Limerick, all over hurdles, and has won them all.
Limerick is one of those tracks where if horses take to the testing conditions, then it is worth persisting with them. He is likely to be a massive price here and might be worth a small each-way investment.
