This race looks competitive and it’s hard to rule out any of the seven declared runners in the extended 2m 4f Novices’ Handicap Chase at Haydock. The recent good form of the Jamie Snowden stable is a positive for Thomas Macdonagh who represents some value with Page Fuller back in the saddle.
The eight-year-old has dropped down in the ratings and secured a confidence-boosting victory at Catterick in early January. He returns after a disappointing run at Carlisle last month but can bounce back to score for the Snowden team who have won this race for the past two years.
17:05 Market Rasen – Unanswered Prayers
Following the excellent victory of Eileendover in a listed bumper here earlier this season, Mixedwave warrants plenty of respect for Pam Sly in the finale at Market Rasen. However, Unanswered Prayers showed enough when second and only beaten a neck at Kempton last month to suggest he can win this race for in-form trainer Chris Gordon.
His point-to-point second to Neon Moon at Ballingarry reads well with the winner recently landing a bumper at Wincanton for David Pipe.

17:25 Hereford – Stylish Dancer
The Dan Skelton team are in form at present and can secure another winner with Stylish Dancer in the closing Handicap Hurdle at Hereford. The seven-year-old is back in the Skelton yard after a short spell with John Spearing and despite a poor recent run at Doncaster can mount a challenge under Harry Skelton.
Her only career victory came at Cheltenham on good ground and the daughter of Nathaniel can score here off a mark of 87 in what doesn’t look the strongest of races.
