13:50 Sandown – Striking A Pose
For the first time this season, I’m going to tip up a Colin Tizzard horse in Striking A Pose. He’s around 10/1 at the moment which is a big price. He’s won his last two and that’s with a stable that have been pretty quiet this season. They’re not quite firing on all cylinders. I think it makes it even more impressive that he’s winning with their lack of form. In an open race, I fancy Striking A Pose.

14:05 Wolverhampton – Lord Of The Lodge
I’m going for Lord Of The Lodge here, trained by Karl Burke with Clifford Lee on board. Was third two runs ago at Wolverhampton and finished second at Newcastle in his last run. The stable is going well at the moment and I fancy him to get a win here.
14:25 Sandown – Leoncavallo
Unsurprisingly, an open race here and I fancy Leoncavallo for the Pipes. They’re having a good season and they’ve target the Imperial Cup bonus at Cheltenham a few times in the past. We haven’t seen Leoncavallo since October where he finished sixth, which is a big break but he’s run well after time off before. I was also impressed at Haydock the run before that and he looks relatively well handicapped here. Leoncavallo has probably been targeted for this race and I think there’s some value. You could easily be strong on the two favourites Natural History and Langer Dan too but I quite like Leoncavallo so I’ll stick with him.
14:40 Wolverhampton – Tadleel
I said Lord Of The Lodge was just beaten last time out and he was bettered by Tadleel. If I fancy Lord Of The Lodge I kind of have to fancy Tadleel here! He’s a decent price, in good form and he’s worth a go.

15:00 Sandown – Tweed Skirt
I’ve gone for an inexperienced runner here in the four-year-old Tweed Skirt, trained by Nicky Henderson. Reason why is I think the stable is starting to kick on ahead of next week. Tweed Skirt won pretty well in January at Wetherby when things weren’t as good for the Henderson team. It’s carrying good weight and the inexperience could be an issue but I think Henderson could kick off the weekend before Cheltenham with a winner.
15:15 Wolverhampton – Summerghand
I’ve gone for Summerghand here. I feel like I’ve backed this horse at Ascot, York, Newmarket and all the fancy meetings but it hasn’t quite worked yet. There’s a worry he prefers a bigger field and there’s only eight runners here. I think Summerghand might just be a bit classier than the rest so he’s worth a go.
15:35 Sandown – High Up In The Air
I’ve gone with the theory that Gary Moore wins every race he runs in at Sandown, which isn’t strictly true! He has an unbelievable record here so I’m going for High Up In The Air. He’s won his last five and is flying at the moment. High Up In The Air will be at the front or there about so he’ll be difficult to peg back for me.
