They both fancied a punt away from odds-on favourite Chacun Pour Soi at the Cheltenham Festival, where Paddy Power is offering non-runner money back on every race so there’s no risk of losing out if your pick withdraws before final declarations.
You can catch Paddy, Tony, Nina, legendary jockey Ruby Walsh and our trader Frank Hickey discussing the Queen Mother Champion Chase in the video BELOW.
TONY MULLINS
I wouldn’t back CHACUN POUR SOI at odds-on. He is too short a price for me. ALTIOR is an old man and NUBE NEGRA started his career on the flat in Spain.
PUT THE KETTLE ON won the Arkle Chase last year and I like a horse that wins around Cheltenham.
But FIRST FLOW is the one for me and he has been in flying form. He booted last year’s Champion Chase winner out of his way at Christmas. They said it was a wrongly run race but he took it up halfway down the back, turned the bend, came up the hill and nothing could get near him.
I can’t believe his price – he should be second favourite.
NINA CARBERRY
You can’t write off ALTIOR at 7/1. It’s an unbelievable price and Nicky Henderson is an unbelievable trainer. Let’s not forget he did it with Sprinter Sacre as well.
*Paddy will be all over your telly box throughout the Cheltenham Festival sponsoring ITV’s live coverage from Prestbury Park – and you can get free and exclusive tipping columns EVERY DAY from Ruby Walsh, Matt Chapman and Mick Fitzgerald here on PP News.
