Ruby Walsh and Frank Hickey have picked out their best bets ahead of a weekend which has seen several meetings abandoned due to the weather.
Speaking on the latest episode of Paddy Power’s From The Horse’s Mouth podcast, the dynamic duo have looked towards Naas and Exeter for their NAPs with Newbury and Warwick called off.

12.35pm (Sat), Naas – Captain Kangaroo
CAPTAIN KANGEROO is my best bet of the weekend, as I would be confident about Naas’ chances of going ahead. Willie Mullins runs this horse, who beat none other than Kilcruit in a bumper at Clonmel. He’s had three starts over hurdles and each one has been a steady progression.
He was fourth to Gabynako, third behind He’s A Hardy Bloke and second to On Eagles Wings. Grand Paradis of Gordon Elliott’s was fourth that day and has since gone on and won. Limestone Rock was third and he could have gone and won since at Naas.
On Eagles Wings unfortunately got beaten at Down Royal but I think Captain Kangaroo can belatedly break his maiden duck.

3.10pm (Sun), Exeter – The Glancing Queen
I like THE GLANCING QUEEN for Alan King. She’s a good bumper horse, and when you go back a couple of years he was fifth in Envoi Allen’s Champion Bumper before she went on to win the mares’ Grade 2 bumper at Aintree afterwards. She missed nearly a full year due to a setback but came back and reappeared in Ferny Hollow’s Champion Bumper win last year – she ran okay and was eighth, so not disgraced at all.
She’s two from three over hurdles this year, and her defeat was when third behind Bravemansgame in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury. She’s got Tom Cannon booked up here and I think she’s a very useful mare. She’s getting a bit of weight off a few here so I think she may take some beating.
