5.15pm – Love Your Work (Next Best)
A four-time winner at this venue, LOVE YOUR WORK failed to make much of an impact towards the end of last year, slipping down the weights, but he stopped the slide when a very good second over this course and distance last month, chasing home one who was well-in under a penalty. The winner has already gone in again subsequently, and Love Your Work is clearly on a good mark if able to build on that effort. He won from a 3lb-higher mark than this here last February and looks the one they all have to beat.
6.45pm – Scale Force (Each-Way)
The only race on the card featuring eight runners, making each-way selections a little difficult to come by, but SCALE FORCE looks to offer a bit of value in that respect at the current prices. A winner over this course and distance as a two-year-old, Scale Force has been in good form since the turn of the year, taking steps back in the right direction when fourth at Wolverhampton and third over this course and distance, and he confirmed the promise of those efforts when regaining the winning thread at Wolves earlier this month, driven out to win by a length and a half. He is clearly in good heart at present and holds leading claims under a penalty.

7.15pm – Andalaska Bear (NAP)
ANDALASKA BEAR is quite stoutly bred on her dam’s side, out an unraced half-sister to the very smart Fox Hunt, and though it has taken her a bit of while to get the hang of racing, looking in need of the experience on debut at this venue in December and still showing signs of greenness at Wolverhampton last month, she demonstrated her aptitude for this surface when running her best race yet at this course last time.
She was no match for the winner Batraan, but she finished much closer to him on this occasion that she did on her previous outing, and the overall time of the race compared well the rest of the card despite just the three runners. Andalaska Bear may have more to offer now handicapping over further, and she makes plenty of appeal on her first foray into this company.
