ITV coverage starts in Ireland with a handicap hurdle over 2m2f. I’ll have a few quid each way here on RESCUE PACKAGE for Tony Mullins and Robbie Power. He’s been running well this season and while he’s up 7lb for a success at Punchestown last time that looks fair enough considering he won going away. Seems to stay well.

13:40 Quilixios
Grade 1 here for juvenile hurdlers over 2m. No doubt QUILIXIOS is the one to beat here after two facile successes at Down Royal and Punchestown. He’s won those races by over 30l and could be very useful for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy.
14:10 Appreciate It
Another Grade 1 but for novices hurdlers over 2m. A card which will feature many at odds on and APPRECIATE IT, who was a class bumper horse, will be hard to topple for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend. He romped home at Leopardstown last time and this big field and a strong pace should suit him very well.
14:40 Morosini (E/W)
A tough handicap hurdle over 3m. I’ll take a chance each way here with MOROSINI one of many for JP McManus. Trained by Jessica Harrington, my selection was not disgraced at Leopardstown last time and while he still has stamina to prove has a god racing weight.

15:10 Monkfish
Back to Grade 1 company with a novice chase over an extended 2m5f. All eyes on MONKFISH here as he looks to be a real star for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend. The Albert Bartlett hero has been a natural over fences and should easily cope with a drop in trip.
15:40 Delta Work
The big one of the day in the Grade 1 Gold Cup over an extended 3m. DELTA WORK unseated last time but this small field should help his jumping and he can outstay this lot for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy. The Gold Cup fifth is classy on his day and conditions are perfect for a big run.
16:10 Baupame
There shouldn’t be much between BAUPAME and Farclas on their Punchestown clash in November and at nice price the Willie Mullins runner will do for me.
