The opening action this Sunday sees a 2m maiden hurdle with very little form to go off. Method Madness has a solid line of form when second last September at Downpatrick when ridden by Patrick Mullins and trained by Sam Curling. He has switched stable since and is having first start for Alistair Ralph, he also hooded for the first time and connections will hope that will bring some improvement in him.
However, I am going for the inform partnership of Olly Murphy (18% strike rate) and Aidan Coleman (28% strike rate) with RIPPER ROO. He has had two runs so far, when second on both occasions. But with both jockey and trainer in form, I feel he should finally might get his head in front.
Both Champagnesuperover, who was a last time out winner, and Mustang Alpha, who was a course and distance winner, set the standard. But, this is a great opportunity for SUNSET WEST to land the spoils. This horse has only had 3 starts, was third on debut, pulled-up on his next start and was beaten favourite last time out at Newcastle.
My only concern would be that he did jump slightly right-handed throughout the race and faded in the final strides. However, this race is over shorter and I just feel if he can get his jumping right in this one, he could finally win a race of this nature.

This is a wide open race over 3m 1f. Volcano was going for three wins on the bounce when only fourth the last day, while Oski – if he stays on his feet – should have a chance also. But, I’m going for PEMBERLEY, who has been placed on its last three runs and should have a chance.
The gelding has won at Hereford in the past over a shorter distance. Emma Lavelle’s horses are going well with one win and 3 placed horses from her last six runners and this horse will have a chance of adding to that at an each-way price.
The final race I’m going to focus on is this 3m 1f contest, with not much form to go off I reckon it’s a great opportunity for OXWICH BAY to get back to winning ways. This horse has been placed on three of its last four runs, and was second behind a fancied Gary Moore runner last time at Plumpton and was not disgraced on that occasion. The trainer (Evan Williams) and jockey (Adam Wedge) teamed up in mid-week for a winner, so no reason why they can’t do so in this race.
