17.50 Precision Storm – NAP
A winner over this course and distance in October, Precision Storm was unlucky not to double his tally at this venue when going down to Richard R H B on his penultimate start, racing off the pace and going well when getting no room on the home turn, finishing well but just unable to pass the winner who got first run.
Precision Storm ran creditably again at this venue last time, despite not being seen to best effect, a steadily-run race not suited to his hold up style. He remains one to be interesting in however, and gets the vote to reverse the form with the reopposing Richard R H B.

18:20 Amniarix – Next best
There are a few useful contenders in this field, not least Shimmering Dawn, who is strictly the one to beat in terms of what she has already achieved, but Amniarix is less exposed, and she is progressing well this season.
Ed Walker’s charge hinted at ability in her first two outings on turf, but it was after being switched to the all-weather that she really took off, showing much-improved form to get off the mark over this course and distance in November, before taking an 8 lb rise in her stride to follow up at Kempton last time, showing a good turn of foot as she quickened to lead over a furlong out, keeping on well for mainly hand riding. She is a likeable filly who will go on improving and is expected to be bang there in her bid for the hat-trick.
16:20 Arnoul Of Metz – Each-way
There are plenty in this field with something to prove, and though Mansfield does arrive here as the horse in form, in terms of achievement, Arnoul Of Metz is the one to beat if fully tuned up after a 14-month absence. Arnoul Of Mets is having his first run for Luke McJannet here, strictly speaking a trainer uplift, and, considering his sole victory came at this venue, he must be taken seriously on his return to action.
