Passional has been consistent since joining the Stuart Williams yard, and she made the most of a good opportunity to belatedly get off the mark in a novice at Southwell last time. Settled just behind the leaders in the early stages, she was produced to lead over a furlong out and kept going well despite hanging left to win by two and a half lengths. That represented another small jolt of improvement according to Timeform ratings, and it would be unwise the rule out the prospect of even more to come from Passional, who is back in a handicap from a mark only 2 lb higher than when second (beaten less than a length) on her penultimate outing over this course and distance.

Inclyne looked in need of a stiffer test when third at Chelmsford last time, always on the backfoot after a slow start and never managing to land a blow on the first two. She is better judged on the form of her previous effort at Kempton, where she shaped as if at least as good as ever over this sort of trip, staying on well in the final furlong to be beaten a little over three lengths behind Myseven (who has won again since). Despite that the handicapper has now dropped Inclyne 3 lb in the weights, so she is now only 1 lb higher than when winning at Newmarket in June. She should reward each-way support if all eight runners go to post.
