13:00 Lingfield – The Trader

As of yet his all-weather record doesn’t look particularly impressive and stands at zero from six but look through the handicaps that this lad has contested throughout the last two seasons and he has been in some very tough company indeed.

He’s found a good spot to put that record straight and the jockey is making a real impact when riding stable. He doesn’t have to front run but that is a distinct possibility in this lineup and it is surely his easiest ask for some time.

13:30 Lingfield – Thapa VC

Did us a favour last time and although I’m not fully convinced with his attitude I’m going to give him a pass at the moment and suggest that it was through being babyish and green that he didn’t run right through the line at Wolverhampton.

Only put up 4lb in the handicap that’s definitely not insurmountable and the nature of this track as he is learning his trade may well suit him better. The bump and kick is back on top today and seems as hungry as ever.

14:50 Newcastle – Global Vision

Has been a bit of an eyecatcher the last couple of times we have seen him on the racecourse but on both occasions he has raced a little bit too freely over 7 furlongs around the turns at Wolverhampton.

This stiffer, more galloping track should play to his strengths and we can definitely upgrade his performance last time, given natural improvement he’s going to be bang on the premises, especially considering he bumped into a well handicapped rival last time at Wolverhampton.

15:05 – Alvarino

Has been an incredibly barren time for the excellent trainer Jamie Osborne and surely it’s only a matter of time before the winners start to flow again.

For some reason they have been under a massive cloud throughout 2020 but a recent look at his statistics show us that they may well just be about to turn that corner.

This lad showed a pleasing attitude over slightly further last time. Expect him to be ridden very aggressively and make his experience count back down to the long sprint of seven furlongs.

LingfieldNov19

16:20 – Paris Duvet

Already has a win on the board at Dundalk so shouldn’t have any problem with adapting to this track. Competitively weighted off a mark of 61 and just stands out as being a little in front of the handicapper having its first try for the Adrian Nichols team.

This particular jockey and trainer combination have flown under the radar all season and we need to sit up and take notice.

17:50 – It Just Takes Time

Has slowly been getting better with each and every start and we can expect another jolt of improvement now stepping into handicap company.

It was an eye-catching performance last time after being slowly away and then making tidy headway inside the final 2 furlongs back down to the minimum.

He will need to be away on the B of the bang at the Lids but this outfit knows what’s required and he is clearly still on the up.
