13:50 It Must Be Faith

A Go Go has been in great form over 5 furlongs, but the return to 6 furlongs is not ideal and the safest bet looks to be IT MUST BE FAITH. He has been in fine form over 6 furlongs of late and should have another race in him at this level. Suzi’s Connoisseur, Daring Guest and Astrophysics can fare best of the remainder.

14:25 Warrior Brave

Water Of Leith won in pretty good style over course and distance nine days ago and is not opposed lightly, but WARRIOR BRAVE created a very favourable impression over 5 furlongs here on his recent stable debut and looks the one to beat. Passthecourvoisier flopped on her second start, but her debut was promising and she is seemingly held in some regard by her connections.

15:00 Mercurius Power

Go Oscar Go does not set a daunting standard. Epic Pass and Prioritise are similar types who look open to improvement, but interesting newcomers MERCURIUS POWER and Three Platoon are the top two on the shortlist.

15:35 Moonlight In Paris

The John Gosden-trained MOONLIGHT IN PARIS has progressive RPRs, remains unexposed on all-weather and can follow up last month’s C&D success. Second choice is Red Poppy, ahead of last year’s third Stay Classy.

16:10 Ivaquestion

Plenty to consider in a competitive handicap, headed by IVAQUESTION, who hasn’t had any luck since Kempton and who’s up to winning off this mark back up in trip. Useful hurdler Beach Break, who’s presumably waiting for better ground in that sphere and who can only look on a handy mark after his Sedgefield win off 123 in October, is a danger. He is joined by Lleyton and the lightly raced Flight Path in that regard.

16:40 King Of The South

Last year’s winner Kaser doesn’t arrive in the same form this time, but he’s back on his last successful AW mark for a yard that’s been enjoying a purple patch. Glendevon is capable at a likely bigger price if building on a good effort in the tongue-tie for his new yard, but the lightly raced KING OF THE SOUTH has progressed well since handicapping on Tapeta and is taken to defy a 7lbs rise to complete the hat-trick.

17:10 Rayyan

This has gone to a three-year-old twice in the past four seasons and it’s hard to ignore the claims of RAYYAN (NAP), who raced freely and wasn’t suited by the way the race unfolded when splitting two subsequent winners off a similar mark over C&D late last month. Four-time C&D winner You’re Cool is a danger, despite his trainer being on a losing run that stretches back more than nine months.

17:40 Onaledge

Handicap newcomer You’ve Charmed Me is an interesting runner for Archie Watson but preference is for ONALEDGE, who was unlucky over C&D in October and a close third at Chelmsford next time. Hat-trick-seeker Obtuse has to be respected.
