13:15 Leopardstown – The Storyteller (Each way)

Sire du Berlais heads the market but the horse that he beat narrowly in the Pertemps Final at the festival, The Storyteller, is a much bigger price and that seems a huge difference to my eyes. The Storyteller will be ridden cold as he was last time when he won the Grade One Chase at Down Royal.

He is a cracking each-way bet in this wide open contest.

Even Willie Mullins’ Bacardys is a huge price as he is bound to improve from his run in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse last time, when finishing close up behind the re-opposing Ronald Pump in the race Honeysuckle won.

13:30 Catterick – Miss Heritage

Lucy Wadham has her team in good form at the minute and Miss Heritage ran a blinder at Ludlow last time in a hot race. She races handily and that suits around here.

13:50 Leopardstown – Boher Cailin

Boher Cailin was so disappointing last time but Henry de Bromhead has reached for the tongue tie on her handicap debut. She is better judged on her win at Clonmel where she was very impressive.

Rapid Response has been chasing and races off a much lower mark now reverting to hurdles. She cannot be dismissed likely with Jesse Harrington’s horses running well.

14:00 Catterick – Anythingforlove

Was an easy winner at Lingfield and can win again now.

14:25 Leopardstown – Presenting Percy

What a race this is. If you had this sort of field lining up in a Cheltenham Gold Cup you’d be happy. There are 10 horses rated over 160. Minella Indo heads the market on the back of his easy success last time and Rachael Blackmore has deserted A Plus Tard to ride him, so that is serious.

He missed the last jump at Cheltenham in the RSA and just got pipped by Champ in the shadow of the winning post and the ground and Leopardstown’s galloping track are in his favour.

Presenting Percy won his first race for a while when winning easily at Thurles last time and he is dangerous to dismiss. Jack Kennedy rides last year’s winner and Presenting Percy’s stablemate Delta Work, but that is no surprise as trainer Gordon Elliot thinks he gets on better with his Gold Cup hope than anyone else.

It’s a really competitive race and I haven’t even mentioned Samcro who won the Marsh Novices Chase at the Festival when chinning another of today’s rivals Melon.

I am hoping Presenting Percy can get the job done.

14:45 Limerick – Westerner Point (each-way)

There’s an inspection at Limerick in the morning and this is a trappy contest where a couple of the reserves should get in. That opens the race up, but Westerner Point is a solid contender at a track that he doesn’t mind, on ground he handles well.

He looks a good play each-way.

Leopardstown 3pm – The Big Getaway

The Big Getaway looked badly in need of the run at Navan last time on his seasonal debut and with that run under his belt can score for the Willie Mullins’ firm who had a treble on Sunday at the Dublin track.
