Update Sunday 8am: All racing at Chepstow and Limerick today has been abandoned due to waterlogged tracks.

13:20 Kempton – Shishkin

The show from Kempton gets under way with this Grade 2 novices’ chase over 2m and all eyes on will be on SHISHKIN, who is one of the most exciting horses in training but faces a proper test here. The Supreme Hurdle hero will be at short odds and should score with ease if he is as good as we all think he might be. But, this is not a total gimme and it’s fingers crossed for Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville.

13:55 Kempton – Midnightreflection

Now a handicap hurdle for mares over an extended 3m. It’s hard to have a strong opinion with this lot, but MIDNIGHTREFLECTION is in good form and stays very well. She was a fine winner at Plumpton last time and that followed a decent second at Ascot. She should go well for Ben Case and Jack Tudor who takes off 3lb.

14:30 Kempton – Altior

This is the Grade 2 Desert Orchid Chase over 2m and on ratings ALTIOR is no good thing, but I have to stick with him in the hope he’s still somewhere near his best close to being an 11-year-old. Altior’s stamina will be a strong asset here for Nico de Boinville, as there should be a good gallop with a number of front runners.

15:05 Kempton – Manofthemountain

And finally at Kempton, a handicap chase over 3m. MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN appeared to find a mark of 138 too much last time at Cheltenham, but he still ran well in defeat behind Frodon. This is easier and he stays and jumps well, so should give Tom Bellamy a good spin for Emma Lavelle.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
