Ruby Walsh has named three top picks at Fairyhouse on Saturday which could earn punters a handy return as part of a a tasty Trixie.
Speaking on the latest episode of Paddy Power’s From The Horse’s Mouth podcast, our resident jockey-turned-pundit feels he is playing it safe with the Charles Byrnes-trained Off You Go before backing Brandy Love to score for Willie Mullins.
Captain Guinness won’t run as he won at Punchestown on Friday and I’d fancy Yaha Fizz if he jumps off and behaves himself, but he has become unruly at the races lately.
A safer option may be OFF YOU GO for Charles Byrnes, who ran really well to finish second at Cork a couple of weeks ago to Chatham Street Lad. He’s always looked a horse who is potentially very good and is starting to attack his fences now. He’s going to have his day at some stage.
I’ll side with THATSY who was a fair hurdler last season when rated 136 and was fourth on his last start over fences to Coolreevy at Punchestown. He drops back a little in trip and that should suit.
Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy are flying at the moment so Thatsy can get his head in front now.

BRANDY LOVE won her maiden point-to-point against the geldings and the inside track at Fairyhouse will suit as it requires a bit of stamina. Patrick Mullins rides now and he looks our best chance on the day. It’s a brandy time of year, isn’t it?
