3.15pm – Farhaa

A small but select field for an intriguing handicap. Emiraaty is a previous course winner and is as tough as they come – he’s respected, despite top weight. Loolwa makes her handicap debut off what appears a fair mark and is open to plenty of improvement. Her stable companion Anfaas is another course winner who should be suited by the step back down in trip and wears a visor for the first time. Mazyoonah won well on her seasonal reappearance, this is tougher but the form of that race is working out well. FARHAA is back down to her last winning mark and there’s a suspicion we haven’t yet seen the best of this well-bred mare.

3.50pm – Jorvik Prince

It’s easy to fancy Solar Park after two competitive runs since being gelded but C&D winner JORVIK PRINCE was hot on his heels at Chelmsford last time despite plenty going wrong. George Thomas can go well, though Slowmo might be vulnerable drawn so wide.

4.20pm – Rayyan

From stall 1 expect a bold show from Deconso with positive tactics expected on his first attempt at 5f, but the suggestion is RAYYAN, who has his quirks but also more than enough ability to win off his current mark.

4.50pm – Fulbeck Girl

Lots of these are in with a shout but FULBECK GIRL arrives on the back of an excellent Chelmsford second, form which looks strong for the grade, and still has few miles on the clock. Both Tulane and Camacho Man warrant plenty of respect, while the very lightly raced Badessa is not ruled out either.

5.20pm – Madeeh

A very open handicap but MADEEH was probably beaten by a very well handicapped horse here last time and he’s taken to go one better. Skerryvore looks ready for some headgear and is the second choice, ahead of He’s A Keeper.

5.50pm – Precision Storm

A case can be made for plenty of these but the most persuasive one is for PRECISION STORM, who was always travelling fluently when scoring over C&D last month and remains with untapped potential at this trip. Harlow rates a big threat on the back of his own taking victory here last time, while Noble Dawn and Guvenor’s Choice are others to consider in a competitive handicap.

Star Ascending horse wolverhampton

6.20pm – Moonlight In Paris (NAP)

The presence of MOONLIGHT IN PARIS (NAP) leaves four of these out of the handicap. Although raised 8lb for finishing fourth in a Listed race at Doncaster, the likelihood is that John Gosden’s improving filly is worthy of her new mark. Elegant Light is another class-dropper, and she’s the threat.

6.50pm – Elmetto

This is probably best left to ELMETTO, whose latest run was promising and she should have a good deal more to offer for her patient trainer. Wether Fell was beaten by a respected rival last time, and he’s the danger.

7.20pm – Rockesbury

A first-time visor may cure Inner Circle’s seconditis but if his frustrating condition continues then ROCKESBURY may be the one to take advantage. No Diggity has possibilities back up in trip and Breath Of Spring looks a potential improver.

7.50pm – Trusty Rusty

The three-year-old maiden TRUSTY RUSTY, who ran well here on his most recent 7f start, is taken to open his account. That piece of C&D form is solid as the winner was on the second leg of a four-timer. Leo Davinci is respected on recent efforts and Shamarouski is interesting on his belated return to action.
