There were some nice prospects ahead of RATIB over course and distance two weeks ago when he stayed on for an eyecatching fifth with a few of these in behind and he looks sure to progress with that experience under his belt. Artistic Work has more experience than most of these and has run to a fair level on turf without managing to hit the frame. Kasansay looks the most interesting of the newcomers.
16:30 Fictitious Lady
A tricky puzzle to solve but FICTITIOUS LADY is the tentative selection with first-time headgear, a switch to all-weather and a step back up in trip all potential sources of improvement. Zofar Zogood returned to form here last week and is another to consider while any support for newcomers Tower Of Pisa, Kush or Theodrada is probably worth noting.
17:00 Pachmena (NAP)
It’s hard to oppose PACHMENA (nap) who has had the form of her recent course and distance success boosted by the third and fourth since. With a better draw (3) this time around and just a 3lb rise to cope with, she’s expected to be hard to beat. Queen Amidala goes well here and the same can be said for dual course and distance winner Happaugue who was only narrowly denied here last Friday.
17:30 Ediyva
Lots in with a chance but EDIYVA beat Jungle Cove stylishly here last time and should have plenty more to give, even being 8lb worse off with that rival. Leadership Race is better than he showed last time, while Pulse Of Shanghai and Acquiescent are big dangers.
18:00 Kellmar
This looks wide-open and it might be worth taking a chance on one at a price. Handicap debutant KELLMAR ran okay in a couple of maidens here at the start of the year and he wouldn’t have been suited by a drop to six furlongs on return. He ought to come on for that run 13 days ago and he wouldn’t have to be a world beater to defy a mark of 56 on his first start in a handicap. Crystal Dawn is an obvious danger and she had excuses when beaten in her course and distance hat-trick bid last time.

Having handed out a comprehensive beating to several of these over C&D last week, PILLAR can win again off a mark from which he has scored in the past. Jered Maddox and Great Midge can get closer to him today, while Bellick and Keepthebestsideout are dangers.
19:00 Noirvento
This looks like the weaker division of this race. NOIRVENTO is reliable and went close against an in-form rival over C&D last time, so gets the nod. Pretty Smart has a tough draw but could go well, while Hidden Spark drops in trip but has enough pace to be competitive.
19:30 Kuwait Direction
The pace that KUWAIT DIRECTION showed to win over 5f last time will be a valuable asset here and he could be difficult to peg back even over a furlong further. Aloysius Lilius has a tough draw but should go well, while Togoville and Fridtjof Nansen can run sound races.
