A market move for one of the newcomers, principally Andrew Balding’s Cover Drive, would put a slightly different slant on things but SAMMY SUNSHINE holds the clear edge on form and looks to have been found a very good opportunity to open her account. Night Force and Where You At are rated next best and worth considering for place purposes.

Fair hurdler LUCKY ROBIN brings the most obvious recent positive credentials, following his third over 2m at this track. Alternatively, a chance could be taken that Badessa will take a step forward making her handicap debut on this first run of 2020. Reassurance and Spring Run are seriously considered on their turf form.

Sorteo is unexposed and may do better but recent C&D winners Cesifire and LEXI THE ONE (nap) could be the pair to focus on. The selection looked a natural on the surface when winning with plenty in hand and she can defy her penalty.

Grand Pianola is weighted to finish closer to GRIMSTHORPE CASTLE this time, but the selection was well on top in their recent clash and it was encouraging to see him run every bit as well back here on Sunday. 7f course winner Luscifer is in good form but today’s trip appears to stretch him and preference is for GENERAL JOE, who ran well on soft going this month and represents a stable that tends to do very well on Fibresand. Bo Taifan, Pearl Of India and Saline Bay are unexposed ones to monitor.
15:50 Pearl Of Qatar
Lots of these have to prove their effectiveness on Fibresand but PEARL OF QATAR comes here 2-2 on the surface and can complete a quick hat-trick after her stylish display last time. Slowmo could be the one to chase her home ahead of in-form pair Kraka and Alex Gracie.
