16:30 Gelehad Threepwood

There is probably more to come from the unexposed French Polish who has to be respected despite a 6lb rise for her Kempton win, but the consistent GALAHAD THREEPWOOD is taken to make a successful handicap debut after chasing home a nice prospect from the Sir Michael Stoute yard over C&D last time. There look to be bigger efforts in Thematic and Lydford and both are worth keeping an eye on.

17:00 Enzo

A few of these have met each other recently including ENZO and Plansina who finished second and third over C&D 12 days ago. Both should figure again, but the former is taken to confirm the form as the application of cheekpieces seemed to galvanise him and switching to blinkers this time may also squeeze out a bit more. Global Style would have a chance if transferring the form of his latest turf effort back on to the AW.

17:30 Discomatic

A couple of these are entitled to improve from their debut efforts, but two horses who finished runner-up in their most recent starts may hold sway. Deep Sigh can certainly win races judged on her narrow defeat at Kempton last time, but the contest in which DISCOMATIC finished second at Chelmsford may have been a little deeper so Andrew Balding’s colt is taken to go one better.

18:00 Helmont

A couple of these have already shown ability on Tapeta, especially Mashaan who deserves to get his head in front after finding one too good the last twice, but despite his lack of AW experience and 7lb penalty it may be worth siding with HELMONT. The form of his successful Haydock debut could hardly have worked out better and although held in Listed company last time, his RPR of 92 for that still suggests he is the one to beat.

18:30 Love Of Zoffany

Both River Wharfe and LOVE OF ZOFFANY showed improved form to finish runner-up on their respective nursery debuts last time, but with the former returning from a short break and now 3lb higher preference is for Mark Johnston’s colt, who is just 1lb higher than for his Newcastle effort last week. Marta Boy has been running well enough to figure, while there may be more to come from the unexposed Priscilla’s Wish.

19:00 Buckingham (NAP)

Having shaped better than the bare result on his last two outings, BUCKINGHAM (nap) looks primed to strike and gets the verdict ahead of the recent C&D winner Athmad. Tim Easterby’s Dreamseller has run mainly on turf this year but won over C&D last September and looks best of the others.

19:30 Cityzen Serg

Bandoss should have more to come now handicapping after wind surgery, while Lacan has thrived this year and Captain Claret sill has some potential. CITYZEN SERG needs to bounce back from some quiet turf runs but his best effort came at this track and he may be able to exploit his reduced mark now back on the AW.

20:00 Leafhopper

Godolphin-owned filly LEAFHOPPER struggled to cope with heavy ground in a Listed race last month but John Gosden evidently felt she was worth her place in that line-up on just her third start. She won her first two races and retains significant potential for improvement. Last Surprise has been in good form over 6f but today’s extra furlong may not be ideal, so Dancing Feet is nominated as second choice.

20:30 You’re Cool

The in-form Smokey has much more on her plate in this company off her new mark and it may prove beyond her. With Big Lachie and Klopp likely to need luck in running, this may be an opportunity for YOU’RE COOL to exploit his lowly mark. He’s well drawn in a race not overloaded with pace and his penultimate start was promising.
