The Racing Post like the look of Hollywood Ken at Exeter this afternoon [3.41pm]

12.55pm – Demon Fou

A wide-open handicap hurdle and it might be worth taking a chance on DEMON FOU. He showed little at Newton Abbot last time but is well handicapped on the best of last season’s form and shouldn’t have an issue with the forecast rain. Uno Mas probably found the race coming too soon when a beaten favourite at Ffos Las last time and is next best, ahead of Adimelo and Tipalong Tyler.

1.30pm – Ranch Hand

It’s hard to get away from RANCH HAND. He looks one of the better Flat recruits to have gone jumping this season and this is a weak race in which to kick off over hurdles. It will be a major disappointment if he is beaten. Arcadian Pearl is probably capable of better than he showed in his only bumper and rates the biggest danger switched to obstacles.

2.05pm – Vango De Vaige (NAP)

The vote goes to VANGO DE VAIGE (nap), who is 1lb lower than for his hurdles win at this course two years ago. Second choice is Tea Time On Mars, who won over fences here on New Year’s Day. Telson Barley and Max Forte complete the shortlist.

2.36pm – Ofalltheginjoints

On the back of a good effort in a similar event at Aintree, OFALLTHEGINJOINTS may be the answer. The interesting chase debutants Tedham and St Barts are second and third choices, with Eden Du Houx completing the shortlist in a useful novice handicap chase.

3.10pm – Sporting John

There isn’t much between Fiddlerontheroof and SPORTING JOHN on ratings in this exciting clash. The former has the benefit of a run but the latter has shown that he can win when fresh and, having been 2-2 here over hurdles, this looks a good place to start his chasing career. The unexposed Silver Hallmark adds interest to this excellent beginners’ chase.

3.41pm – Hollywood Ken

Preference is for HOLLYWOOD KEN, who ended last season with a couple of solid efforts and returns to action off a handy mark. Second choice is Dante’s View, who ran well here last month. Breffniboy would have to command major respect if he’s allowed to take his chance after Monday’s win.

4.11pm – Kilmington Rose

Granted a slick round of jumping KILMINGTON ROSE may be able to reverse Chepstow placings with Born In Borris and open her account. Burren Walk is also in the mix.
