The Champion Hurdle at this year’s Cheltenham Festival has the potential to be a humdinger.
Constitution Hill. State Man. Brighterdaysahead. If the big three in the hurdling division are in peak shape when the race rolls around then it will be the best renewal of the prestigious race in a generation.
State Man bagged the honours in last year’s edition but has been beaten twice by Gordon Elliott’s magnificent mare in the current campaign and former champ Constitution Hill looks like he’s back to his best.

Constitution Hill is the favourite with Paddy Power to win the Champion Hurdle after returning to the track with a bang by beating Lossiemouth in the Christmas Hurdle and following up in the International.
Brighterdaysahead is next in our betting after getting the better of State Man in two Grade 1s at the end of last year – and she is confirmed to run by trainer Gordon Elliott instead of take in the Mares’ Hurdle.
