Willie Mullins is the top dog when it comes to training a winning horse at the Cheltenham Festival.
The County Kilkenny native heads into this year’s mega meeting looking to dominate once again and come out on top of any other trainer at the Fez for the 12th time in his career.
He made history by landing his 100th Cheltenham Festival triumph when his son Patrick steered Jasmin De Vaux to victory in the Champion Bumper, which was one of nine winners last year.
He started training horses in 1988 and struck gold at Cheltenham for the first time seven years later when Tourist Attraction landed the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.
If that wasn’t enough, Mullins has also ridden a Cheltenham Festival winner having steered Wither Or Which to success in the 1996 Champion Bumper.
