When is the Ryanair Chase 2025? Cheltenham date, start time, runners and betting

Who takes the middle-distance crown?

Ryanair Chase

The Ryanair Chase is the big race over fences on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival.

It is typically contested by horses that lack the speed for the Champion Chase and the stamina for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, but the middle-distance race has been won by some classy types such as Allah and Vautour since its introduction to the March mega meet in 2005.

Protektorat claimed the honours in last season’s renewal after trainer Dan Skelton realised the gelding was unlikely to feature in the shake up for the Gold Cup, although he is set to face a stiff test to retain the crown as we could be treated to a deep field this term.

Ryanair Chase odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details for this year’s renewal are below.

Fact To File Ryanair Chase – Non Runner No Bet

Arkle Chase scorer Gaelic Warrior is next in our non runner money back betting as a step up in trip could be considered after failing to score over minimum distance this term.
