The Champion Chase at Down Royal takes pride of the place as the first Grade 1 of the core National Hunt season.
Racegoers were treated to a thrilling renewal last year as Gerri Colombe, who subsequently finished second in the Gold Cup, rallied to beat the previous winner Envoi Allen in a tight finish.
It could once again be the starting point for Gordon Elliott’s leading staying chaser, although a small field is expected to go to post for the three-mile contest.
Champion Chase odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details for this year’s renewal are below.

Gerri Colombe is the favourite with Paddy Power for the Champion Chase, although last season’s Gold Cup second could be switched to the Charlie Hall Chase if there is not enough cut in the ground at Down Royal.
Envoi Allen is next in our betting as the three-time Cheltenham Festival winner attempts to kick off his campaign by getting on the scoresheet.
