Confirmed Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe 2024 draw for Sunday’s big race at Longchamp

Look De Vega will bid to emulate Ace Impact by winning the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe from stall eight at Longchamp on Sunday.

The three-year-old has already followed in the hoofprints of last season’s scorer by claiming the spoils in the Prix du Jockey Club (the French Derby) and connections will probably be pleased to have been drawn in the middle of the 16-runner pack.

The antepost favourite will start on the inside of the three Irish-trained runners after Al Riffa, Los Angeles and Continuous were handed stalls nine, 10 and 14 respectively.

Bluestocking, who was supplemented at a cost of €120,000, will break from the potentially plum spot of stall three, although the other British-based hopeful, Sunway, is out wide in stall 15.

Stall six has thrown up three winners in the last 12 renewals, although the recipient of the lucky draw is outsider Survie, who finished a dismal seventh behind Bluestocking in the Prix Vermeille over course and distance last month.
