Punchestown Race Card: Your ultimate Festival guide to day 4 on Friday

Some big stars in action today...

State Man winning the Champion Hurdle 2024

State Man faces just three rivals in his bid to land the 11th Grade 1 of his illustrious career on day four of the Punchestown Festival.

Willie Mullins’ stable star attempts to round off a perfect campaign in the Boodles Champion Hurdle and should only have to worry about Irish Point, who has 1¼l to find from March’s meeting at the Cheltenham Festival.

The other Grade 1 on the card features the most exciting prospect in training, Ballyburn, in the Alanna Homes Champion Novice Hurdle and it should be a penalty kick.

Allegorie De Vassy tries to make amends for her Cheltenham flop in the Grade 2 Hanlon Concrete Irish EBF Glencarraig Lady Francis Flood Mares Chase and Mister Policeman has to concede weight to his rivals in the Listed EMS Copiers Novice Handicap Chase.

Elsewhere on the card, Its On The Line goes for back-to-back successes in the Event Power Champion Hunters’ Chase but the deep field includes last year’s runner-up Vaucelet and dual Cheltenham Festival winner Samcro.

Punchestown odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, everything you need to know about day four of the mega meeting is below.
