The week has been building to this… it’s Gold Cup day at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival!
Galopin Des Champs is bidding to join the exclusive club of multiple winners of Jump racing’s Blue Riband event but he faces a stiff test of his credentials against the likes of Fastorslow, Gerri Colombe and last year’s runner-up Bravemansgame.
Proceedings begin with the leading juveniles on the block – minus Sir Gino – tackling the Grade 1 Triumph Hurdle and the Joseph O’Brien-trained Nurburgring looks the principal opposition to Willie Mullins’ battalion.
The Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle is the other Grade 1 on the card and features a clash between Mullins’ top-level winners Dancing City and Readin Tommy Wrong.
We’re sponsoring the Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase as the leading girls over fences get their chance to shine, the County Hurdle and Martin Pipe provide the big-field betting options for each-way punters, while the
Cheltenham Festival odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, everything you need to know about day four of the mega meeting is below.
