Can anyone stop Paul Townend?

The core National Hunt season is in top swing in Ireland as the great and the good of the Jumps game take centre stage for the rest of winter and spring.

Our very own Ruby Walsh holds the record for the most Irish Champion Jockey titles after bagging the most winners in 12 campaigns during his distinguished career.

His successor as Willie Mullins’ number one, Paul Townend, has been Ireland’s top jockey in each of the last five seasons and is looking to bring home the crown for the sixth year in a row, although it’s his principal rival, Jack Kennedy, who leads the way at this stage of the campaign.
