The Long Walk Hurdle takes pride of place on the British calendar as the first Grade 1 of the season for staying hurdlers.
An attritional slog over 3m½f in chilly conditions at Ascot is the order of the day and it is a test of jumping as much as stamina as there are 12 obstacles for the runners to negotiate.
Former winners Paisley Park and Champ are in contention to tackle the Long Walk Hurdle, but the division is in need of fresh blood and a number of up-and-comers could take their chance.
You can run the rule over our Long Walk Hurdle odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.

Champ is also prominent in our market as the winner of the 2021 renewal prepares to return to the track for the first time since failing to fire in the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle.
