The Jumps has taken over from the Flat which means the fight for the British Jockeys’ Championship is set to heat up.
The 2023/24 Jumps season is already at the halfway point, however, as it technically started on May 1, 2023 and is set to conclude on April 27, 2024 with the finale fixture at Sandown.
Brian Hughes is the reigning champion but Sean Bowen has been a busy boy over the summer months and is a long way clear at the top of the standings as the core season gets underway. The title is decided on winners ridden throughout the campaign so there is still a chance for the rest to catch up as the bulk of the fixtures are set to take place over the coming weeks and months.
