Racing League 2023 format

A total of seven teams representing different parts of the UK and Ireland will compete in 42 races at six meetings for points.

Each team comprises a manager, a group of trainers, and jockeys selected via a draft. Every race will feature 14 runners – two from each team – except for the meeting at Wolverhampton where the fields are restricted to 13 horses.

Races will range in distance from five furlongs to 17 furlongs, and the first 10 home will earn points for their teams. A team manager can play a Joker in two contests doubling the number of points their horses can earn.

1st: 25 points
2nd: 18 points
3rd: 15 points
4th: 12 points
5th: 10 points
6th: 8 points

8th: 3 points
9th: 2 points

The team with the most points will win the Racing League and bag the £50,000 prize plus £35,000 to be shared among the winning team’s jockeys.
