Ahoy-hoy! It’s time to get your posh on because Royal Ascot is finally here – and if you’re looking for the ultimate guide to the first day of the fiesta then you’ve come to the right place.
You’ll find all you need to know about Tuesday’s action at the famous Berkshire racecourse including the racecard, tips and best bets, how to live stream all the action as well as details of the ITV Racing schedule.
After the Royal Procession makes its way down the track, the card gets underway in breathless fashion courtesy of the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes as last season’s Coronation Stakes heroine Inspiral tackles Lockinge Stakes winner Modern Games.
It is, arguably, the best day of the week as there are two more Group 1s courtesy of the King’s Stand Stakes and St James’s Palace Stakes. Superstar mare Highfield Princess tackles up-and-coming rival Dramatised in the former as she bids to add a second Royal Ascot victory to her CV, while 2000 Guineas hero Chaldean meets the winner of the Irish equivalent, Paddington, in the latter.
Paddy’s celebrating the start of five days of regal racing from Ascot by digging deep into his pocket to dish out a free bet to new and existing customers to spend on any of the day’s seven renewals. Woof!
Royal Ascot odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key information you need for day one of the meeting is below.
Our snazzy Racecards page has details of the runners and riders, weights, odds and Timeform’s horse-by-horse analysis for every renewal on the Royal Ascot schedule.
