Just in case you’re still wondering whether your horse was one of the first six home, here’s the details of the winner and each-way places.

Grand National results 2023

1) Corach Rambler (8/1)
2) Vanillier (20/1)
3) Gaillard Du Mesnil (10/1)
4) Noble Yeats (10/1)
5) The Big Dog (12/1)
6) Born By The Sea (50/1)

Paddy Power spokesman Paul Binfield said: “It was a decent result for us as the Rachael Blackmore factor came into play and Ain’t That A Shame was latched on to by punters as was last year’s hero Noble Yeats who was well backed in the run up to the race and ran an absolute cracker in fourth off a big weight.

“The places weren’t the greatest for us, but we’ll certainly take them all things considered.”

Sure, the Grand National is the biggest race of the National Hunt season but there is still plenty of action over jumps before the Flat takes over. The Scottish Grand National takes place at Ayr next week, Sandown hosts the Jumps Finale at the end of the month and there is also the small matter of the Punchestown Festival.

For Flat fans, the first Classics of the year – the 2000 Guineas and 1000 Guineas at Newmarket – takes place on the first weekend in May before attention turns to the Epsom Oaks, Epsom Derby and Royal Ascot the following month.
