Fairyhouse is preparing to stage the richest race on the National Hunt calendar in Ireland.
The Irish Grand National – the feature of the three-day Easter Festival at the County Meath track – boasts a total prize pot worth €500,000, with the first past the post bagging a tidy €270,000 for connections.
As well as staying power to see out the marathon 3m5f trip, the runners will need to demonstrate a slick jumping technique as there are 22 fences to navigate.
Some of the biggest names to have graced the game are on the Irish Grand National honours list such as Arkle and Desert Orchid, while Numbersixvalverde was the last to achieve the Aintree double.
Lord Lariat was first past the post at 40/1 in last year’s thrilling renewal but is not back to defend his crown after a late training setback.
You can run the rule over our Irish Grand National odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key details about this year’s renewal can be found below.
The Irish Grand National is set to take place at Fairyhouse on Monday, April 10. The post time is set for 17:00 BST. You can watch the race live on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app.

Amirite – the mount of Rachael Blackmore – is the favourite with Paddy Power for the Irish Grand National after a decent performance in Grade 3 company on just his fourth run over fences last time out.
Stumptown is next in our market after being denied by a neck in the Kim Muir, although he is officially 1lb out of the handicap due to the presence of top weight Royale Pagaille.
Thedevilscoachman is also prominent after back-to-back victories in novice Grade 3 events and with many believing he is ahead of the handicapper.
