Willie Mullins is the top dog when it comes to training a winning horse at the Cheltenham Festival.
The County Kilkenny native heads into this year’s mega meeting looking to dominate once again and come out on top of any other trainer at the Fez for the 11th time in his career.
Heading into day three of the festival Mullins has already matched his total of six wins from 2023, making history with his 100th Cheltenham Festival triumph with his son Patrick riding Jasmin De Vaux to victory in the Champion Bumper.
He started training horses in 1988 and struck gold at Cheltenham for the first time seven years later when Tourist Attraction landed the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.
If that wasn’t enough, Mullins has also ridden a Cheltenham Festival winner having steered Wither Or Which to success in the 1996 Champion Bumper.
