Nicky Henderson’s Cheltenham Festival winners, record and 2023 runners

If there’s one man that can bring the challenge for the home team at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival, it’s Nicky Henderson.

The veteran Seven Barrows handler is the second most-successful trainer in Cheltenham Festival history having saddled a total of 72 winners heading into this year’s meeting.

He has trained some of the best in recent years including Sprinter Sacre, Buveur d’Air and Altior – and boasts the most exciting horse in training among his current crop in the form of Constitution Hill.

The red-hot Champion Hurdle favourite is seen as the banker of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival and is joined by a number of talented stablemates such as Arkle prospect Jonbon and Ryanair fancy Shishkin.

Henderson has bagged a winner at the last 14 editions of the Cheltenham Festival and been the Top Trainer on three occasions, although his chances of lifting that trophy for a fourth time appears remote because of Willie Mullins’ battalion.
