Cheltenham Racecard: Your ultimate guide to Wednesday’s 7 races at the 2023 Festival

Swot up on day two's action!

Sir Gerhard wins the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle

If you’re looking for the ultimate guide to the second day of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival then you’ve come to the right place. Welcome, friend!

You’ll find all you need to know about Wednesday’s action at the March mega meeting including the racecard, tips and best bets, how to live stream all the action as well as details of the ITV Racing schedule.

The Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle kicks things off as Impaire Et Passe attempts to justify the hype from the numerous preview nights while Hermes Allen bids to defy the negative trend surrounding Challow winners.

Unbeaten Gerri Colombe is the warm favourite for the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase and his principal rivals appear to be Sir Gerhard and British pair The Real Whacker and Galia Des Liteaux.

Energumene goes for back-to-back victories in the Champion Chase but needs to bounce back from a flop in the Clarence House Chase when beaten by Editeur Du Gite and Edwardstone, who reoppose.

The final Grade 1 rounds off the card as Willie Mullins field 10 runners in the Champion Bumper.

There is also a couple of big-field handicaps courtesy of the Coral Cup and Grand Annual, while Gordon Elliott pair Delta Work and Galvin face off in the Cross Country Chase.

The latest Cheltenham Festival odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise all the key information about day two is below.
