Prestbury Cup score and Britain v Ireland results for Cheltenham 2023

The battle for bragging rights!

Willie Mullins and Nicky Henderson with the Prestbury Cup

Let’s not beat about the bush here lads, the Prestbury Cup 2023 will probably be as one sided as the last few years.

That’s because Cheltenham has become Ireland’s patch, but as Hollywood heavyweight Colm Meaney says in our knockout television advert, “We’re just having a bit of craic!”

Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott, Henry de Bromhead and co boast formidable squads for the Cheltenham Festival 2023 and they are once again heading across the Irish Sea to plunder the biggest prizes in National Hunt racing.

The majority of Festival fancies may be trained on the Emerald Isle but, to be fair, the British do possess the most exciting horse in training in Constitution Hill, who looks like a freak in the nicest way possible.

It’s hardly surprising that Ireland are the red-hot favourites in Paddy Power’s Prestbury Cup 2023 odds, but stranger things have happened and Team GB can be backed at a big price to come out on top for the first time since 2015.

What is the Prestbury Cup?

The Prestbury Cup is a battle between Great Britain and Ireland to rack up the most winners over the course of the four-day meeting. There are 28 renewals at this year’s Cheltenham Festival and it’s a point per victory so the contest runs until either country has landed 15 winners. If it ends with 14 winners apiece then it’s a tie.
